Canadian Autistic Artist Donates Artwork
Niam donated one of his favourite paintings, Calm Ocean Waves, To the UHN Fundraiser to contribute to the community. Calm Ocean Waves is an abstract Oil On Canvas, 48″48″ in calming colours of white, blues, greys and greens. The annual UHN Diwali Fundraiser continues to celebrate India’s culture, traditions and legacy. Since its inception in 2011, the UHN Diwali gala continues to expand and has become the largest Diwali celebration in Toronto.
Canadian Autistic Artist Niam Jain collaborated with UHN to support the initiative, helping those who may sometimes require support.
It was a magical night, with food, dance and much entertainment. The distinguished MC of the evening, Raj Kothari, announced and recognized on stage the talents of Autistic Artist Niam Jain. We often think Autistics are a burden on society, Niam showcased that Autistics can be contributing members of society.
Niam received a standing ovation. Niam stood up, and the crowd cheered even louder. It was a proud moment for Niam and his whole family.
It was a fun night with family. Niam loved the food and, was seen walking around with French Fries.
Niam’s painting was sold at an auction for a large sum of money.
It was a joyous and rewarding evening.
