The Making of ‘Flowers’

Niam Jain’s abstract art ‘Flowers’ is an abstract expressionist painting bursting with rich colour. The organic forms and vibrant, stacatto brushstrokes capture the beauty and spontaneity of nature. Like many of Niam’s most recent (2024) works, this painting was conceived outdoors. The playful use of colour was inspired by the surrounding flower gardens.

The abstract art Flower is also known as landscape art, which is the natural depiction in painting of natural scenery. Niam chooses to reflect the natural beauty of nature and the Canadian landscape as his primary landscape in this abstract art. The harmonious colours and impasto style with the use of light, colour and texture is an artistic expression that takes reference from the natural scenery of flowers and its surroundings.
