Niam Jain Visits Buenos Aires Argentina
Niam Jain travels 14 hours to Buenos Aires, the beautiful capital of Argentina. Buenos Aires is Spanish for “fair winds’ or ” good airs”. The city is one of the most beautiful places we have been to, and the people are incredibly hospitable. We spent the first few days exploring the city and its rich culture and heritage. We walked everywhere, taking in the sounds, smells, sites and food. We walked to a stunning library, the Ateneo Grand Splendid Bookstore, a converted theatre with a temple of books on the bustling commercial street in the fashionable Recoleta neighbourhood. The library showcases the best of early 20th-century craftsmanship. Niam spent an hour there, sitting and looking at the ceiling with all its artwork, rolling his hands over the architecture, feeling it, seeing it and he even bought a book!
The theatre brims with old-world charm, such as the gorgeous frescoes on the soaring ceiling. Rohan and Niam Jain bought some drinks, and my husband and I had some coffee while we took in all the beauty. I could see Niam was being inspired. Most of all we were exposing Niam to Art in a relaxed environment.
We walked to Plaza de Mayo. It was a bustling street. We walked through the markets and had French Fries. We did a street art tour, walked through parks, we visited the Parque Tres de Febrero, which has a large lake and a beautiful rose garden. It was breathtaking. We lounged around and took our time.
We took a street art tour, walked through parks, and visited the Parque Tres de Febrero, which has a large lake and a beautiful rose garden. Niam Jain found a painting he loved and wanted a picture.
For dinner, we dined at a Michelin-starred vegetarian restaurant at Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt. It was a stunning hotel, and the scenery was breathtaking. Our whole family is vegetarian, and it is not easy to find delicious vegetarian food. We were very excited to go to the restaurant. Niam Jain ate everything, even food outside of his comfort zone. It was a great sensory and family bonding experience for all of us.
